Maypole 13 Pin Towbar & Trailer Wiring Tester

The Maypole 13 Pin Car and Trailer Tester is a device designed for testing the lighting and power supply circuits of vehicles and trailers equipped with a 13 pin connection according to the ISO 11446 standard. It is capable of testing both LED and filament bulb trailer lighting.

The tester features LED indicators that clearly display any faults detected during the testing process. When a function is tested and correctly wired, the LED indicators will show a green light. If a fault is present, the LED indicators will display a red light, indicating the issue.

To operate the tester, you need to provide it with power by inserting a 9V PP3 battery (not included) into the device. A yellow button located on the side of the tester needs to be depressed and held down while testing a function. Releasing the button will end the test.

It is important to note that 12V power supplies can only be tested on the towbar side. To test the towbar, the vehicles ignition should be switched on, and each function should be activated one by one.

The tester is specifically designed for use with 13 pin plugs and sockets. However, it can also be used in conjunction with a suitable adaptor, such as the MP6005 or MP6015, to test 7 Pin/ISO1725 lighting circuits.
